Hola! My name is Aimar Rosario Ávila. I was born in Puerto Rico and have lived in the island my entire life. Living in an island has shown me so much in life. I’ve learned where to get the best fish, how to find the perfect secret beach, where to buy good limbers and what it means to live in a colony. Throughout the years, I’ve been able to learn different perspectives in every twist and turn that’s come my way. Whenever I’m asked what has been a hardship that you’ve learned the most, I can never seem to come up with a solid answer. Every experience has been full of surprises and knowledge. To chose one feels impossible. Although, after every experience, I am always grateful for the few moments in life where I can just wonder. Nowadays, many people get warped into others expectations and forget what they want. I know I have. Finding those moments where you dream, find a new hobby or listen to a song you forgot existed is rare. I find those moments are the most precious. Some of my favorite shows at the moment are Criminal Minds, Parks and Recreation and the Umbrella Academy. A weird juxtaposition of the supernatural, the human psyche and satire. Besides film, I love food. My favorite plate is arroz encebollado with guineitos al escabeche and bistec encebollado. It always reminds me of home.
